Sammy D Foundation - SA

Nonprofit Cloud was not the only piece of work Sammy D Foundation needed. Their NPSP to Nonprofit Cloud migration fixed the data model — but their payments still ran through Stripe, and NPSP had never integrated with it. Nothing synced. Every donation existed in two systems that never spoke to each other, which meant reconciliation by hand, gaps in supporter history, and a finance team piecing together the truth from two sources.
Donors felt it too. Any change to a recurring gift, any request for a receipt, and any question about giving history had to go through someone on staff.
We introduced The Living Ledger to our customer and they love it. Let's see why —
Every donor gets a home base for their giving. Once someone has given, they become part of the organisation's supporter base and can log into their own account on the Living Ledger to see their full giving history, download tax receipts, and give again — all without a call to the office.
Not every donor wants to create an account on day one. The Living Ledger donation page sits embedded directly on the Sammy D Foundation website, and a donor can give as a guest — entering their details and completing the donation through Stripe without ever leaving the site they already trust or being forced to register first.
On submission, The Living Ledger creates the payment in Stripe and the corresponding record in Salesforce, linked to the right person account, and writes the Stripe ID back onto the Salesforce records for future reference. The two systems stay tied together at the record level, so there is nothing left to reconcile by hand.
Recurring donors can view, update, or pause their active gift commitments directly inside the portal — changing an amount or a payment method no longer means calling the office and waiting for someone to make the change on their behalf.
The Living Ledger watches the payment method behind every active gift commitment and emails the donor before their card expires, so they can update it themselves. That single piece of automation protects recurring revenue that would otherwise fail silently.
Zenyus is committed to the impact industry we build for. We don't take a cut of any transaction processed through The Living Ledger — every dollar a donor gives goes straight to the nonprofit and the cause it supports.
Across every one of these workflows, the effect for the Sammy D Foundation team is the same: fewer calls, fewer emails, fewer manual updates. Donors do it themselves, and the team's time goes back to fundraising instead of admin.
Migrating to Nonprofit Cloud gave Sammy D Foundation a clean data model. The Living Ledger is what makes that model useful day to day. Every gift now enters Salesforce complete, linked to the right supporter and traceable back to Stripe. Donors manage their own giving instead of queuing for staff time. And the team spends its hours on fundraising rather than on reconciliation.
Most nonprofits we speak to are running a payment processor on one side and Salesforce on the other, with a spreadsheet in between. It works until it does not, and it quietly costs a team more hours every year than anyone measures.
If your donations still live outside Salesforce, let's fix that. Book a walkthrough of The Living Ledger, mapped to your NPSP or Nonprofit Cloud environment.
